My music mag

My target audience will be mainly male, indie scenesters (see http://www.uktribes.com/?p=article&id=7&article=185) They will be in their late teens to their mid twenties. They will have a small financial income as they are mostly still in education or in low paid jobs and most of their money would be disposable income as they still live at home. I chose this as my target audience as this style dominates the young populatuion in today's society.

I'm planning on charging £2.50 to £3.00 for my magazine and I will publish it monthly, this is so young people can offord it but aren't daunted by a cheap price and to give me a chance to get the best content for my magazine I can.

The content of my magazine will mostly be made up of interviews, new music, gig reviews and gossip. It will also include articles about bands and their secrets etc with not too many adverts but enough to reach my quota.

The style of my magazine will be quite glossy and upmarket (like Q), it will be for music lovers and will not disappoint. It will contain jokes and themes for teens and be interesting to read. It will have local bands and (add Q image here ish) interviews of bands who have played locally lately. Most of the bands will be rock and indie rock.

The type of music my magazine will feature will be mainstream indie and some upcoming bands. Also everymonth their will be an artical about a local band for those in yarmouth. This is my unique selling point as people in the surrounding areas of Great Yarmouth will be obligued to buy it.

Watch to see a taste of the music in my magazine
