distributors and publishers. There
are only a few distributers that
control the whole market like
W.H.Smiths. Publishers on the
other hand are also controled by
a few large company's although a
higher variety than distributers. There are the 2 largest ones ,
distributors and publishers. There

publish many large magazines all
over the world. IPC publish NME,
a magazine with similar target
audience to me so I would try to get
them to publish mine aswell.
is a very large and wealthy company so would be a great company to publish my magazine. It also would suit my target audience and as I have a wide vareity and very general target audience my magazine would suit IPC as IPC require magazines with a high circulation.
My magazine target audience also have quite alot of money to spend on products that could be advertised in my magazine, this would suit major publishers like IPC media.

Do you think a big company like IPC would take your mag on? this would depend on the demographic of the audience and whether or not it would be large enough to justify mainstream distribution to the high street. Comment on this area please.
